What We Look For
Ranch & Home is a family run business in Kennewick / Pasco Washington. They started as a small hardware store in Pasco Wash., but have mushroomed into a 135,000 sq foot farm / sporting goods / sports facility.
RMSLP did a Risk Assessment on their business where we looked for areas and process in their business that are easy for employees and customers to manipulate and steal.
Here are a few of the areas we look at:
- Cash control
- Banking process
- Physical security
- Employee accountability
- Merchandise security
- CCTV - functionability
- POS - procedures and processes
- Receiving / shipping
- OSHA and other federal regulations.
- Anything and everything that can contribute to a loss to the bottom line in a business, keeping in mind that Employee theft and shoplifting comprise about 90 % of all retail loss with Employee Theft leading the way at close to 50% according to national statistics.
Remember a dollar saved from loss falls directly to the bottom line.
A business can increase its bottom-line profit without increasing sales just by managing and controlling its losses effectively.
